Lam Soon is a leading FMCG player in Southeast Asia with over 70 years of history, operating across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. The Group is known for its quality products, strong brand management, and extensive sales and distribution network.

Its activities span plantation and milling, refining, and manufacturing, with factories in Malaysia and Thailand certified under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, GMP, and HACCP. In addition to its own brands, Lam Soon also provides contract manufacturing services, particularly in soap production. Through a diverse FMCG portfolio, Lam Soon has built a trusted brand identity rooted in integrity and approachability, while continuing to innovate and support localised CSR initiatives across its markets.

Our History

The history of the group dates back to August 1950, when LAM SOON CANNERY PRIVATE LIMITED was incorporated by the late Ng Keng Soon in August 1950 to trade copra and canned food.

Following his death in 1955, his sons Whang Tar Choung and Whang Tar Liang took over the management. The company embarked on the manufacturing of cooking oil and laundry soap at its factory in Jalan Jurong Kechil, Singapore.
